Hundreds Gather to Remember Victims of Yom Kippur Terror Attack

On 31 August 2026, more than 800 people gathered at Heaton Park Synagogue for a communal memorial service to remember Mr Melvin Cravitz and Mr Adrian Daubley, who were tragically murdered in the 2025 Yom Kippur terrorist attack, which took place on the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

The service was hosted by Raphi Bloom, Chair of the Yom Kippur Commemoration and brought together members of the Jewish community, civic leaders and supporters from across the region to reflect, remember and stand united against hatred.

Representatives from Reform Lancashire attended to pay their respects and demonstrate their unwavering support for the Jewish community.

The memorial service served as a moving reminder of the importance of standing together against antisemitism and all forms of hatred.
