Biography

I am the elected County Councillor for Whitworth & Bacup on Lancashire County Council and currently serve as Cabinet Member for Health & Wellbeing. I was elected in May 2025 as the Reform UK candidate following a strong local campaign focused on bringing common-sense decision-making, transparency, and accountability back into county politics.

I am also Chairman of Reform UK Rossendale & Darwen, and before my election I stood as a parliamentary candidate. I bring over 20 years of experience as a mental health nurse, having worked on the front line in NHS services, including A&E and community mental health. This professional background strongly shapes my approach to public service, with a focus on wellbeing, prevention, and supporting those who need it most.

I stand up for residents on key local issues, including opposition to the Scout Moor 2 wind farm, concerns over the waste transfer site in Bacup, the unchecked rise in HMOs, and disparities in health services affecting communities on the borders of Rossendale.

I am currently pursuing an employment tribunal claim against Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust regarding an attempt to discipline me over a 2024 campaign video connected to my parliamentary candidacy. The case is scheduled for August 2026.

I live locally and remain closely connected to the community I represent, working to ensure residents’ voices are heard and acted upon. Together, we can change politics for good!
