I am a fourth-generation dairy farmer, currently running a large dairy enterprise just north of Preston with my wife Eleanor and our three children. I was educated at Lancaster Grammar School and went on to complete a degree in Agriculture at Newcastle University, graduating as the top student in my year.
I have travelled widely and had the honour of representing the UK at international agricultural events on many occasions. In 2019, I was awarded Farmers Weekly Dairy Farmer of the Year.
I decided to stand for election as a councillor after becoming disillusioned with the current state of politics. With a young family, I want to help create a better future for them — and I believe it’s time for people with real business and practical experience to make the decisions that affect our communities.
I am passionate about my local area and will work tirelessly to champion rural communities and parishes across the county.
