Biography

I’m proud to serve the community where I grew up. Burnley made me who I am, and I entered politics because I refuse to sit back and watch our town continue to decline.

I had three clear reasons for stepping forward: my love for Burnley, and my two children. I will not stand by while their future — and the future of every local child — is put at risk by politicians who are out of touch with the people they are supposed to represent.

My priorities for Burnley are straightforward:

  • Review our status as a City of Sanctuary to ensure local needs come first.
  • Challenge the constant stream of HMO applications that push up rents and break up established communities.
  • Above all, speak up for the real views and concerns of local people, not the agendas of career politicians.
