Biography

My name is Dr Lorenzo More. I am a scientist, academic, and proud father of two young boys. Since May 2025, I have had the honour of serving as the Reform UK County Councillor for Penwortham East & Walton‑le‑Dale.

I was born in Venice, Italy, and moved to the UK in 2008, first to Nottingham and later to Warwick. Since 2017, I have made Lancashire my home, and I became a naturalised British citizen in March 2020. I have long supported the movement for national sovereignty, backing UKIP and the Brexit referendum. I joined the Brexit Party in March 2019 and became an official member of Reform UK in 2024.

As Lead Member for Health, I have been working to secure an NHS contract for the University of Lancashire, enabling 24 state-of-the-art dental chairs in Preston to be opened free of charge to the public, rather than being limited to university staff and students.

I entered local politics because I was tired of seeing residents ignored, money wasted, and decisions made behind closed doors. I am here to bring transparency, accountability, and common sense back into local government.

My priorities for Penwortham East & Walton‑le‑Dale:

  • Promote community cohesion and uphold British values, ensuring all who settle here respect our laws, culture, and way of life.
  • Support local workers, ensuring fair wages and protection from illegal practices or unfair competition.
  • Back our farmers, the backbone of our community, essential for long-term food security and community cohesion.
  • Strengthen schools and early support, ensuring timely assessment and intervention for children, because early help leads to better futures for young people and stronger communities for all.
  • Protect and keep libraries open, recognising them as vital community hubs that support education, families, digital access, and lifelong learning.
