Biography

County Councillor Mackenzie Ritson proudly represents the Rossendale East division on Lancashire County Council. Elected in May 2025, Mackenzie is a Reform UK councillor committed to delivering real results for residents across this vibrant part of the Rossendale Valley.

As a long-time local resident, Mackenzie has a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Rossendale East, from infrastructure and transport to education, social care and economic growth. With a clear focus on putting residents first, Mackenzie works hard to address constituent concerns, stand up for better services, and ensure local voices are properly heard at County Hall.

Passionate about meaningful change, Mackenzie is dedicated to improving roads and public transport, supporting families and vulnerable residents, promoting sensible and sustainable development, and creating real opportunities for young people. Mackenzie believes the next generation deserves the best possible start in life — through improved access to education, apprenticeships, skills training and local employment — so young people can build their futures right here in Rossendale.

Whether it’s tackling potholes, improving public services, securing fair funding for Lancashire, or championing initiatives that create genuine pathways to success, Mackenzie is a hands-on councillor who prioritises practical solutions over politics.

If you live in Rossendale East and have an issue you would like to raise — from highways and schools to adult social care, community projects or opportunities for young people — please get in touch. Mackenzie is here to help.
