Biography

It is an honour to serve as the County Councillor for Morecambe North, alongside my role on Morecambe Town Council, proudly representing Reform UK. Having lived and worked in Morecambe for most of my life, I became involved in local politics after seeing too many poor decisions being made that negatively affected our area and its residents.

My background is varied: formerly RAF, a publican, thespian, and small business owner with Potts’ Pies. During that time, I was awarded “Best Pies in the Football League” while supplying Morecambe Football Club and appeared on television with the Hairy Bikers.

Following a mid-life career change, I retrained as a barber and later worked as a Food Safety Officer for Lancaster City Council, studying at Birmingham University. I now focus on running my own barbershop in Bare alongside my councillor responsibilities, and I have recently published my debut children’s bedtime book, inspired by the Covid period.

I firmly believe that at the end of any political term, people’s lives should not be harder. Morecambe has the potential to be a jewel of the North, if not the UK. The upcoming Eden Project and the restoration of the magnificent Winter Gardens Theatre represent the greatest opportunities the town has seen in decades.

Alongside sensible investment and support for local businesses, it is imperative that the right decisions are made to secure the social and economic stability of the area for current and future generations. I understand the value of the pound and a hard day’s work, and nothing frustrates me more than seeing councils and governments waste hardworking taxpayers’ money.
