Biography

In May 2025, I was humbled and honoured to be elected as the County Councillor for Longridge with Bowland. My commitment is simple: to ensure the trust placed in me is fully justified.

Having lived in Longridge for the past twenty-seven years, and growing up in the Ribble Valley since the age of three, I have a deep connection to the area and a strong understanding of what matters to local residents.

Politics was never a planned career path. Unlike those motivated by self-promotion or personal reward, my decision to step forward came from frustration at the direction our country was taking. Watching hard-working people taxed relentlessly, pensioners stripped of their winter fuel allowance, and our culture steadily eroded reinforced the well-known truth: “For evil to prosper, it takes only good people to do nothing.” I never want to tell my grandchildren that, when faced with these challenges, I chose to stand aside.

I am here to make a difference for those I represent — whether that means resolving local issues, speaking out against injustice, or simply being available at my monthly surgeries to listen and support. Serving the people of Longridge with Bowland is my priority.

I am also proud to be part of a dedicated group of Reform councillors who ask one question above all else: “Does this benefit the residents of Lancashire?” If the answer is no, then we will do everything in our power to change it.
